Emailing to phones

Yahoo Inc. said on Sunday it was giving its e-mail users more ways to reach friends and online contacts by allowing them to trade messages with mobile phone users.
I always wondered why this isn’t readily available now. Evidently the technology wasn’t there, but Yahoo! is pouring gelt into theirs to bring what had been a very poky service up to speed.
I just might start using my oldest Internet email account again!
(But what have they done to the page I link to above that makes it virtually impossible to select text for copying and pasting? That‘s not a step forward.)
