Oh the case is compelling all right. Just not the way he intends.
Nearly two-thirds of Americans think it is possible that some federal officials had specific warnings of the Sept. 11, 2001…but chose to ignore those warnings.”
The author assumes this means that people believe that, say, Mossad blew up the WTC, or that the demolition of the twin towers was an inside job. If so, I would agree: that’s idiotic.
But is it also not possible that the respondents are remembering the well-known incident in August of 2001 where Pres. Bush received a PDB entitled, “Bin Laden determined to strike in US” to which he replied (to the CIA briefer), “All right, you’ve covered your ass now,” continuing his vacation without interruption?
Well, one thing it tells us is that they probably over-sampled Democrats and Ron Paul supporters. IE, idiots.
Not familiar with the Ron Paul cohort. But it is well known that Fox News viewers rank nearly dead last in knowledge of national and international affairs. And I’m pretty sure those viewers are not Democrats.
As for the rest of it, it does go on. Again, given the site is called “Right-wing News,” I shouldn’t be surprised that one of the commenters says this:
“You know how many people they polled? 881. Out of 300,000,000 people. Just for some perspective on how useful this is.”
Right. And when you make a pot of soup, you have to eat the whole thing to tell whether you put enough salt in it, right?
The masses are asses, indeed.
