Of course, the left-wing nutroots live in their own self-contained universe.
The real question: are congressional Democrats really going to stay in the bunker with them through November 2008?
I think there’s another question: Whither the mainstream media? Answer that one, and then see where the one posed by the Standard goes.

Make you a deal: Republicans get to claim Bush was right and Democrats get to bring the boys home.

The world gets to claim that Bush was right, and we were all behind him all the way.
And then we can reach a consensus, and we’ll clean up Syria and Iran next.
If not, no problem. The Republicans can carry the leadership load again.
